An ancient prophecy foretold that one day the Lomoa would be born, a being of water and fire who would save the world when he learned to love someone other than himself.
Chen has lived for over a thousand years, but appears to be little more than twenty; he is a child of fire, a Tama Puia who has been forced to change his address every so often to evade the suspicions of his neighbors. Bored with the tedium of his immortal life, he carries a deep sorrow and lives a quiet life with Luis in Madrid. Both are beings of fire surrounded by beings of water, whose fragile and mortal nature is incompatible with their own.
One day Chen receives an unexpected visit and a request: that he take care of Fayna, a child of fire like himself. And why should he do so, if protecting her will only bring him threats and dangers? Because Fayna, in her search for her true identity, is going to change everything...
In this story, no one is who they seem or claim to be. They are all part of a greater order beyond their control, trapped in a labyrinth of illusions. Only a love as pure and irrevocable as that foretold in the prophecy can save the world from its own extinction.
