After several years working as an architect, Laura Benavente (Bilbao, 1977) decided to dedicate herself to drawing, her lifelong passion. From her previous profession, she retained a tendency to include buildings in her illustrations. She has collaborated on a wide variety of projects, ranging from indie comic covers to tourist illustrations in her hometown, as well as children's novels, textbooks, and educational picture books.
