José Fragoso
José Fragoso (Madrid, 1975) is a children’s writer and illustrator. He has published several picture books, such as Olivia Diluvio (“Olivia Rainshine”) or Don Piez (“Mr. Feesh”), both of them also translated abroad. His comic book series are doing great too: Los hermanos MacGuffin (“The MacGuffins”, La Esfera Azul) won the Torre del Agua prize for best comic, Olivia Wolf (Nubeocho) is already on its 4th volume and Burricornio (“Donkeycorn”, Nöpp) was released simultaneously in Spanish and French. His illustrations have also appeared in titles written by other writers, receiving great recognition: La merendola (“Snack Time”, Galimatazo) was included in the Honour List by the OEPLI (IBBY of Spain) and Mi pegatina (“My Sticker”, Abresueños), was recommended by the Cuatrogatos awards. Fragoso has also collaborated with clients in Spain and the US, such as Sony Music or Instituto Cervantes New York, and is nowadays a teacher in the ESDIP School in Madrid.
